Who: We welcome submissions from all homeschoolers - parents, students, and graduates. While you need not be a Catholic to submit a story, the editor reserves the right to edit or refuse content that is not in conformity with Catholic teaching. What: What we're looking for is your stories, ideas and experiences with homeschooling. Stories can relate to Academics, Family Life, Special Needs, Organizational Ideas, etc. Please refer to the category lists on the home page for more topic ideas. This site is primarily about "what worked for you and your family" - please explain your stories, ideas or experiences in a constructive and open manner. Why: While there are many books about homeschooling written by experienced and knowledgeable homeschool parents and educators, sometimes it seems like the most useful help is the little tidbit gained from another mom who has been through the same thing as you. Sometimes their ideas can be just the right thing in your circumstances, but sometimes it's comforting just to know that someone else has experienced the same thing and "lived to tell the tale." Please keep in mind that, although there are certain general truths about education that are universal, the content of this site focuses on more practical details of learning and family life which aren't always "black and white". Submissions to this site become the property of the webmaster for the purpose of freely sharing these stories with those who might benefit from them. We do allow people to print up material from the website to share with family and friends, but not to be sold commercially, provided that they include references to HomeschoolStories.com and its sponsor, Thomas Aquinas College http://www.thomasaquinas.edu who makes the site financially possible. Please e-mail stories to webmaster@love2learn.net |
